| １．What is researchmap |

"researchmap" is the new information disclosure service which unified "ReaD" which "Japan Science and Technology Agency" (JST) manages, and "Researchmap" which National Institute of Informatics (NII) manages as part of a new area integration research of Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS). researchmap ：http://researchmap.jp/public/about/operations/ |
| ２．Entries to be provided to researchmap |

Items marked with (r-map) on the screen can be provided to researchmap. You can choose to submit information or not by using "Select whether to provide information to researchmap" in the "Privacy setting" screen. If you click the "Check data to be provided to researchmap" link on the menu, a preview screen will be shown and you can check the data to be submitted to researchmap. |
| ３．Disclosure on the Internet through researchmap |

Information submitted to researchmap will be generated according to the settings set by the researcher in the Researcher Information System (herein referred to as "the DB system")'s "Select whether to provide information to researchmap". |
| To submit your own information to researchmap |
| Select "Yes" for "Provide individual information to researchmap" on the "Privacy settings" screen. Also select "Provide to researchmap" selection on the registration screen whether specific registered data will be provided to researchmap or not. |
| When "Yes" is selected on "Provide individual information to researchmap" on the "Privacy settings" |
| Registered information in the DB system will be provided to researchmap according to the setting for submitting data to researchmap. |
| When "No" is selected |
| None of the registered information on the DB system will be submitted to researchmap, independent of the submitting selection of each data. |
| ◆There are two major classifications for handling registered information to be provided to researchmap. |

"Name and contact details", "Faculty or department/ position / professor emeritus", "Research History", "Education", "Degrees", "Research Areas", "Research Interests", "Scientific research expenses adopted task", "Books and Other Publications", "Papers", "Presentations", "Architectural work, other research achievements", "Industrial Property Rights", "Awards", "Other", "Teaching Experience", "Social Activities", "Professional Memberships", "Committee Memberships","Academic Activities ","Media Coverage ". If the data that you wish to submit and the data that you do not wish to submit to researchmap has become mixed up, open that data's Registration screen and set "Provide to researchmap". |

| "Name and contact details (Photograph)", "Job achievement", "Licenses and qualifications", "Current state of research and teaching activities", "Subject of research", "Proposed theme of joint or funded research", "Allotted class", "Teaching achievements", "Textbooks and teaching materials". |
| Submitting option for researchmap. |
| Submitted information will be disclosed by researchmap through the Internet. If there is information you do not want disclosed in this manner, select the "Select whether to allow the information provided to researchmap to be made available over the Internet". |
